Notes: This illustration differs slightly in technique from many other things I have done. I felt the image had to be treated very soft and well blended to maintain the mood. I also wanted this illustration to be very narrative, so I packed in as many story telling elements as i could.

This is so expressive. I think you were right to do it soft - it shows the old lady's expression and the dejection in her kitty is so real. Good one.
